Fall Parade of Homes

The Fall Parade of Homes is held the second and third weekends of October each year. The Parade is a scattered site event that typically contains over 24 homes. Its purpose is to provide builders with an opportunity to display their product to the public, and promote the local residential home building industry. A Realtor’s Tour and Builder’s Tour are held during the Parade.

The Parade is widely advertised and boasts public attendance from all over the country. Public surveys indicate that typical attendees have a mean family income of $76,135, and are middle-aged or senior couples. Demographically, 72 percent of Parade attendees live in Las Cruces, 10 percent are from the rest of New Mexico, and 18 percent are scattered across the remainder of the nation. Attendance is estimated at over 5,000 people for the two-weekend event.

A glossy Parade magazine is produced and published by Mountain Dreams Publishing as a public guidebook for the event. Publication circulation is 12,000. The magazines are available to the public at each Parade home, as well as the LCHBA office. Parade magazines are available two weeks prior to and two weeks after the Parade at numerous public locations in the area.

Sponsorship opportunities fall into two categories – general and specific. General sponsorships are in a hierarchial arrangement of values from bronze (lowest) through silver and gold to platinum (highest). These sponsorships are advertising packages comprised of an advertisement in the Parade magazine, and inclusion in all or some of the extensive event advertising on television, radio, print, and web site. Specific sponsorships include underwriting all or a portion of a Parade social, and Realtor’s and Builder’s Tours.

This event is a committee run project. If you are interested in being a sponsor or advertiser for the Parade, please contact Mountain Dreams Publishing at 505-525-7000. Please direct all other Parade inquires to the LCHBA at 505-526-6126.
